When companies combine their resources to help students, great results will happen. This is the case with Verizon Wireless and Samsung and the launch of the “Educational Empowerment” program that’s being piloted at Vista High School with the assistance of the Classroom of the Future Foundation. Here’s more on the program details:
- Goal: Program designed to empower high school students for college and career success
- Verizon Wireless providing free broadband service on Galaxy tablets donated by Samsung
- 30 students, AP Physics Class, Vista High School
- Paper test taking
- Overhead Projector/Docucam
- Teacher using Tablet w/docudrama
- Student activity on a google spreadsheet
- Google Drive to access class folder
- Lab exercise on circuits and data collected by lab groups
- Lab instructions provided (volt meters, resisters, measuring current)
- Group Work and data collection
