Open Education Resources (OER) is currently a very hot topic in K-12 education. The potential to obtain high quality instructional materials at little or no cost is driving this interest. To assist educators in San Diego County, the Classroom of the Future Foundation (CFF), San Diego County TeamRED Collaborative and The Greaves Group are sponsoring the Open Education Resources Summit in San Diego on Wednesday, November 4, 2015.
The Classroom of the Future Foundation, in conjunction with TeamRED (our Project RED collaborative), and SDCOE is pleased to announce a two-hour summit on OER. The keynote speaker via video feed will be Andrew Marcinek, an OER expert from the U.S. Department of Education. Given the strong interest in this topic, we are opening this session to all districts in San Diego County.
While the primary audience focus for this event is superintendents, are encouraging superintendents to bring one or two other staff personnel along with them. Please RSVP to CFFAdmin@sdcoe.net by Tuesday, 11/3/15, to confirm attendance, as space is limited.
