It’s that time of the year again… the Classroom of the Future Foundation’s (CFF) 15th Anniversary Innovation in Education Awards is coming up on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm! CFF takes pride in honoring the most innovative and effective teaching programs throughout San Diego County at this annual event, in addition to the outstanding teachers who created them.
Every year, the Innovation in Education Awards brings together key businesses from around the country, all 42 San Diego County school districts, representatives from the San Diego County Office of Education, leaders from higher education and many teachers, parents and students with a common goal — to inspire our school districts to adopt innovative learning approaches in the classroom. We’ll be back at SeaWorld San Diego for the event this year, and we are looking forward to announcing the recipients of the 2018 Innovation Awards, recognizing the 2018 class of High Tech Academic Achievement scholars, announcing special awards for a few outstanding educators, and acknowledging the tremendous contributions made by teachers, schools, and businesses in the success of our students. Guests will enjoy a networking Welcome Reception from 4:00pm – 6:00pm, prior to experiencing the unforgettable awards program from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. The evening will conclude with an entertaining Dessert Reception from 8:00pm – 9:00pm.
Since the very first Innovation in Education Awards fifteen years ago, CFF has provided more than $350,000 to extraordinary educators and innovative classroom programs across San Diego County. Additionally, we have distributed more than $520,000 in High Tech Academic Achievement scholarships to 300+ deserving students pursuing STEM degrees. Funding raised through this event has also helped to scale innovative programs in winning districts, as well as encourage others to adopt similar approaches. Our incredible community of supporters have made all of this possible through sponsorship of this event and ticket purchases.
