Superintendent of Public Instruction announces #GoOpen Initiative
The California Superintendent of Public Instruction announced the #GoOpen initiative and Collaboration in Common. The #GoOpen initiative recognizes California’s dedication to supporting school districts and educators transition to the use of high-quality educational resources. Collaboration in Common helps teachers find, use, and share resources, as well as gain insight from fellow educators.
The Vista Unified School District (VUSD) will be hosting California’s first #GoOpen Regional Summit in October. The Summit will provide an opportunity for educators and district leaders to explore the use of high-quality, openly licensed educational resources.
CFF encourages interested educators to respond to VUSD’s “Call for Presenters” and submit an application to present a 75 minute session around the topic of OER.
If you are interested in sponsoring this summit, please contact James Wright for more information about involvement and recognition opportunities.
